Description from the seller

I am offering a collectible vase made of uranium glass (vaseline glass) from the Art Deco period, dating to the 1920s–1930s.

A vase made of pressed glass in a characteristic, slightly olive-green shade typical of glass colored with uranium oxide. The form is distinctly geometric – vertical, sharply stepping grooves give way to a massive, multi-faceted base. The upper edge is gently wavy. The whole piece represents the classic style of Central European Art Deco.

A model that is very stylistically close to the products of foundries in the areas of today’s Czech Republic and Germany (including Inwald, Rudolfova huť, Walther & Söhne), produced in the interwar period.

Under UV light, the glass exhibits intense green fluorescence, which confirms the presence of uranium in the glass mass—a prized collectible feature.

The input is a special character (em dash) and does not require translation.

Behavior state

Very good condition for the item’s age.
No cracks or chips.
Possible small, era-typical signs of wear and micro-scratches on the bottom.

The input is a special character (em dash) and does not require translation.

Dimensions
• Height: 14 cm
• Inlet diameter: approx. 12 cm
• Material: pressed glass, uranium glass (UV reactive)
