An exceptionally rare antique Swiss detective box "hand" camera. It has a mahogany body with brass fittings and was covered in black fabric that made it very discreet. Made by E Sutter in Basel, ca. 1895. Overall in fairly good condition, complete except for a small door in the front, all brass knobs and pieces seem to be present, the optical lens is in good condition. The shutter can be adjusted with a small turning ring around the lens.
