Villeroy & Boch - Wine glass (16) - Crystal

Crystal water glasses by Villeroy & Boch in Luxembourg – Médicis model – listed in the catalog. The slightly flared bowl ends in a hexagonal base to form the glass’s stem, with a hexagonal knop along its length. At the bottom of the bowl, a recessed decoration in the shape of a sword recalls the Italian Renaissance. The foot is hexagonal in shape.
The Villeroy & Boch Manufacture was founded in Lorraine, France, in 1748 – it became Luxembourgish in 1766 – specializing in porcelain production; in 1843 it turned to crystal production.
To this day, she is recognized worldwide for her excellence in the Art of the Table.
