More information about the artist:
Peter Bes, born in 1945 in Den Helder and long-time resident and working in Anna Paulowna, at the head of North Holland. Bes initially pursued an education in the sixties at the then Rijksnormaalschool and later at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam. He regularly exhibited both domestically and internationally and took part in graphic biennales and triennales in Switzerland (Grenchen, 1979 and 1982), Poland (Kraków, 1978), Bulgaria (Varna, 1985), Germany (Dortmund, 1993), and the United States (San Francisco, 1980). In 1980 he received the first prize for portrait graphics in Tuzla, in the former Yugoslavia.
In Peter Bes's body of work, an intriguing play of light and dark is perceptible, leaving a cinematic impression. He says about this: 'What in films happens in a sequence of images, I must try to capture in a single moment. I opt for staging, for the set, in which I place the figures. In doing so I often combine different worlds or bring together characters from different times.'
Pickup is available, and delivery can, by arrangement, also be done outside of parcel services to ensure it is in perfect condition.
