Waterman Ideal Nº7 fountain pen from Canada, with a plastic body and gold‑plated cap and clip, dating to the mid‑20th century, one item, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
The pen is presented in very good overall condition, considering its age (20–30 years). The body and cap in black ebonite retain a deep, uniform color, with no severe oxidation or significant discoloration. Micro surface marks and slight signs of use typical of age are visible only upon close inspection, which do not affect the overall aesthetics or the structural integrity of the piece at all.
The cap closes properly, without looseness or cracks, and retains its original shape. The golden clip is complete, firmly attached, and in good condition, with slight cosmetic wear consistent with age. The cap ring, wide and grooved, maintains its presence and alignment, showing only fine signs of normal use, with no dents or deformations.
The original culote with a numbered green insert “7” is present and well preserved, with minimal superficial wear and a clear reading of the number, a detail especially valued in this model.
The Waterman's Ideal nº7 gold nib is preserved in original condition, complete and without cracks, with correct alignment of the tines and an intact tip. It shows very slight signs of use, normal for nibs of this era, with no structural loss or visible repairs. The ebonite feed is the one corresponding to the model, properly adjusted and without apparent damage.
The lever loading system is complete; its operation will depend on the condition of the internal bag (it is common for vintage pens to require replacement if they have not been recently restored).
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
