Description from the seller
Title: Traces in the Snow
Description
Traces in the Snow is a quiet, at once multifaceted meditation on movement, impermanence, and the inscription of time into a seemingly pristine surface. The image structure evokes tire tracks in the snow — signs of human presence that overlap, cross, and gradually fade. The whiteness of the background acts like an open, breathing emptiness, in which each trace is at once visible and destined for disappearance.
The recurring, fan-shaped patterns create a rhythmic lattice of direction and counter-direction. They evoke paths that have been walked, without their origin or destination being clearly defined. Movement here is not seen as goal-directed progress, but as a cyclical process: traces arise, intersect, lose their sharpness, and become part of a larger, collective pattern.
“Traces in the Snow” thematizes the fragility of memory and action. Like footprints in winter, human decisions are also only temporarily inscribed — they mark a moment, a state, an in-between. The image captures this fleeting moment: a quiet testimony of presence that exists in the tension between order and dissolution, structure and dissolution.
The canvas is delivered rolled.
For a painting with the dimensions 160 x 100 cm you need a stretcher frame of the size of
150 x 90 cm and a thickness of 2-4 cm.
This is a handcrafted original, signed and dated by the artist on the back.
High-quality, light-resistant acrylic paints were used on gallery canvas primed several times in white.
This work is handmade and therefore unique!
Biography
My name is Sandra Glaser and I live in Trofaiach in beautiful Styria, where I have created a lovingly furnished studio – a place where I can fully immerse myself in my colors, shapes, and thoughts.
Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the world of art. This enthusiasm has never left me – it has stayed with me to this day and continues to inspire me anew. During travels and visits to numerous exhibitions across Europe, I was able to gather many artistic impressions that have shaped my view of painting.
My preferred form of expression is abstract acrylic painting on canvas. In my work, I mainly explore feelings, inner states, landscapes, and imaginary worlds. It is about making visible what cannot be said – emotions, moods, and in-between spaces that are often only expressible through color and movement.
I paint out of passion. It is an intuitive process for me, where authenticity and depth are at the forefront. Each piece is a part of myself – an impulse, a memory, a look inward and outward at the same time.
