Antique acetylene lamp for bicycles — Luxor brand

Rare antique acetylene lamp for bicycle, in patinated brass, signed LUXOR
This model was used before the widespread adoption of electric lighting: the light was produced by the reaction of calcium carbide with water, generating acetylene gas.
The lamp consists of:
of a cylindrical brass reservoir,
of a swiveling burner,
of a thick glass front lens,
colored side windows (green and red), used as signals,
a rear mounting system for bicycles.
Good overall condition with original patina, signs of wear and oxidation consistent with its age. Item not tested, sold as a collectible piece.
