Mesolithic / Epipaleolithic bone tool with a notch on the blade, 22 cm high, 8 cm wide, 6 cm deep, weighing 520 g, dating to circa 2000 BCE, acquired from a French auction house in 2003, previously owned in France.
Description from the seller
The item offered was purchased at a prehistoric fair in Evreux in 2003.
See the second photo.
A very rare piece.
Especially because the kling has a notch (notch).
This was used, among other things, to smooth the arrows for hunting and to remove the bark.
Weight: 520 grams, dimensions: height 22 cm x 8 cm x 6 cm
The handle is beautifully patinated in a dark black finish.
I am selling my collection due to my advanced age of 81 years.
