Elegant crystal compote dish, made by the prestigious Cristallerie du Val Saint Lambert (Belgium).
VSL / Breveted Royal Warrant Holder in Belgium
This model belongs to the Gilbert service and is documented in the original VSL catalog of 1913, plate 13, no. 2
The bowl is a beautiful example of the Art Nouveau style, recognizable by the flowing lines and the harmonious proportions. The design is attributed to Charles GRAFFART, one of the leading designers of Val Saint Lambert in this period.
