Old brass medical set – syringes and instruments – 19th / early 20th century
Description of the lot
A rare collection of antique brass medical instruments, comprising several items related to medical and paramedical practices from the late 19th to early 20th century.
The lot consists in particular of:
a large vertical brass syringe, mounted on a stand, with a graduated arm,
a cylindrical syringe with a crank mechanism,
a manual syringe with a wooden handle,
Elements and associated accessories visible in the photographs.
These instruments illustrate ancient medical practices, predating the widespread adoption of modern devices, and today they are collectibles, cabinet-of-curiosities items, or decorative objects.
