Two openwork baskets from Sèvres: from 1848 and 1853. With gold loss as shown in the photos. Both unrestored. One with a 3.5 cm hairline crack in the rim (photo).
The images from the book provide information about the tableware Napoleon had made for Cardinal Fesch in the early 19th century. Part of that service includes this basket model.
