Description from the seller

This centerpiece is a magnificent example of the French Neoclassical revival, where functionality meets high decorative sculpture.
-Origin: France.
-Style: Louis XVI / Neoclassical. Characterized by its balance, the use of animal motifs, and the classic fluting of the vessel.
-Period: Circa 1800-1910. An era defined by refinement and the revival of the great French classical styles.
-Material: Silver-plated alpaca (German silver or "Maillechort" in France).
-Technique: Casting, chiseling for the details of the swan feathers, and polishing.
-Ornamentation: The base features two swans, symbols of purity and elegance. The upper section has a lobed design and handles adorned with vegetal-inspired scrolls.
-Measurements:
*Maximum width: 25 cm
*Height: 17.5 cm
*Bowl diameter: 17 cm
-Marks: Double hallmarks on the lower rim / part: "AM" (master silversmith's mark) and "ALPACA AM", guaranteeing the quality and master silversmith's mark.
-Versatility: As a centerpiece, for fruit (dried, fresh, or decorative), sweets, cookies, cakes, or as a piece of art to enrich antique collections.
-Condition: Excellent antique condition. It retains the integrity of its shape and a very well-preserved silver plating, with a patina that attests to its authenticity and more than a century of history. However, it should be noted that there are two small chips on the side of the smaller lower bowl (see images).
