Description from the seller
Germany. Munich. 5 Mark. 1913. Otto (1886-1913)
- Value: 5 Marks.
- Reign: Otto (1886-1913).
- Year: 1913.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: OTTO KOENIG VON BAYERN. Reverse: DEUTSCHES REICH · 5 MARK · 1913.
- Grade: AU58 (PCGS).
Silver 5 Mark coin from the Kingdom of Bavaria featuring a left-facing portrait of King Otto, rendered in a sober, realistic style, with good bust modeling and accurate detail in the hair and features. The obverse presents the German imperial eagle with extended wings, crowned, and with a central shield, surrounded by the official legend and the face value of 5 Mark. The reliefs are well defined, with slight wear at the highest points in keeping with its AU58 grade, clean fields with residual mint luster and a light, uniform silver patina that contributes an attractive and balanced appearance to the piece.
