Superb large antique wall mirror, crafted in openwork gilded brass and decorated with six relief medallions depicting ancient profiles of the Roman imperial type, in the style of neoclassical cameos.
This mirror dates from the period around 1900-1950.
The quality of execution – finely cut and stamped solid brass, hammered copper back, and original mounting system – attests to a high-level artisanal craftsmanship, intended for bourgeois interiors and private mansions.
The central mirror is original, featuring antique silvering with a natural patina and micro-pitting (foxing).
Mirrors of this type, combining large format, perforated decor, and antique portraits, are now highly sought after by collectors and decorators.

Good antique condition. Patina and traces of time consistent with age.
The mirror shows natural marks related to its age.
