Description from the seller
Antique German baby doll by Gebrüder Heubach, produced circa 1900–1910.
The doll features a characteristic Heubach baby face with fixed glass eyes (not sleep eyes), finely painted eyelashes and eyebrows, soft blushed cheeks, and an open mouth with a movable tongue — a rare and highly desirable feature found on some early Heubach baby dolls.
The head is marked with the mould number “126” impressed on the back of the neck.
The doll has its original fully composite body with jointed arms and legs, showing realistic baby proportions and subtle red-painted nail details.
The mohair wig is old and period-appropriate.
Condition
• Good, honest condition for a doll over 100 years old
• No visible cracks to the head
• Damage to the back of the left leg (see photos), consistent with age and use
• Normal age-related wear throughout
• Eyes and tongue mechanism intact
Not restored or cleaned.
The doll will be sold without clothing.
