Description from the seller
[Product Name]
Daido Moriyama - Paris + - Photobook
[Product Description] This is "Paris +," a photobook by Daido Moriyama, one of Japan's leading photographers.
This book is a carefully curated and reconstructed collection of photographs taken during Daido Moriyama's stays in Paris from 1988 to 1990 and again in 2003. Despite its 504-page volume, it features a compact, dictionary-like binding in A6 format (similar to a paperback). The book's cover, designed by renowned Japanese book designer Satoshi Machiguchi (Match and Company), embodies the book's distinctive, block-like presence and Daido Moriyama's signature high-contrast, grainy monochrome photography.
"I think Paris is a fraction of the hometown of my photographs," Moriyama himself says. This work is filled with a rich array of images, reflecting his youthful longing for Paris and his pursuit of Eugène Atget.
