Guanyin (觀音) - The Bodhisattva of Compassion
Guanyin is one of the most beloved and revered figures in East Asian Buddhism, known as the bodhisattva of compassion and mercy.
Origin & Name:
Derived from the Sanskrit name Avalokiteśvara
Full Chinese name: Guanshiyin (觀世音) - "She/He who perceives the sounds of the world"
Hear the prayers and cries for help of all beings.
