Labelled Braun Antal - - Violin - Hungary

Beautiful old 4/4 Hungarian violin with a “soul” by Antal BRAUN from Temesvar, dating from 1914. At that time that area belonged to Hungary. The violin has, of course, some signs of use including a well-repaired crack from perhaps 100 years old on the inside. The violin has a beautiful warm tone and a nicely figured, two-piece flamed back plate.
