The scene is completed by a rich cloth of deep red that falls in broad folds from the left side, adding depth and a pronounced color contrast against the dark, neutral background.

The treatment of light is restrained and precise, highlighting the volumes and tactile qualities of each object: the smoothness of the fruit, the shine of metal, and the delicacy of glass.
