HISTORY:
A dream for every Porsche enthusiast: a 911. This example is also a Targa and from a highly sought-after year. This model year is, in Porsche’s terms, the “D-program” and offers the best of both worlds. Because improvements were implemented in this version, especially on the technical side, it is a beloved variant. Classic looks, but also a wonderful mile-eater that lets you traverse Europe without a hitch. Cruising with your head in the sun along the Côte d’Azur is also possible thanks to the Targa roof. Like most, this example was originally delivered in the sunny climate of the United States, which helped it stay rust-free. In 2016, the car was imported to the Netherlands, where it has recently been restored. Since then, the car has only covered 300 kilometers, making it feel as if it is in like-new condition.
Exterior
A sight to behold, for the stunning finish of this 911 is barely dry and is done in the color 'Light Yellow' (color code 6262). The Targa roof is the most sought-after variant, thanks to the option of open driving without disturbing the car's beautiful silhouette. Of course the gorgeous Fuchs wheels must not be missing. This model is still equipped with the distinctive gold branding on the car. The windows are lightly tinted, which gives a more attractive look and fewer sun rays into the car. Thanks to the restoration, the cosmetic condition is very good. Both the paintwork and the rubber seals, glass, lighting and the chrome work are all in a fresh state.
INTERIOR:
The interior has also been renewed and is therefore in very good condition. Inside the car it still smells like new. The interior is finished in black with half-leather seats. The comfortable seats come with headrests. In the back there are two child seats.
Technical
The 2.2-liter engine was a more powerful engine with more torque compared to the previous 2.0-liter engine. The six-cylinder boxer engine delivers 125 hp. An example of an improvement that comes with the D-program model is the use of oil spray nozzles that cool the underside of the pistons. The manual 'dog-leg' 5-speed gearbox was at the time an option compared to the standard 4-speed gearbox. The underside of the car and the area under the hood are also in good condition. Four new Michelin tires have been fitted. The car drives sportily and is agile, which makes it a joy to drive in the mountains.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
