For sale: a Praktica MTL 3 35mm analog SLR camera from the former GDR (East Germany), including a Pentacon 50mm f/1.8 lens. A sturdy and fully manual camera from the 1970s, beloved for its reliability and simple, functional operation.
The Praktica MTL 3 is a fully mechanical SLR with a built-in TTL light meter (needle indication in the viewfinder). The camera operates without electronics for the shutter, which makes it very durable and suitable for pure manual photography. Thanks to the M42 screw mount, there is a wide selection of compatible vintage lenses.
The included Pentacon 50mm f/1.8 is a fast standard lens with good sharpness and a characterful rendering. Ideal for everyday use, portraits and street photography.

The camera and lens are in good vintage condition with normal signs of use appropriate to their age. The shutter works well and the speeds seem fine. The light meter also responds. Because of the age, the accuracy of the light meter and the shutter speeds cannot be guaranteed. The lens is clear and the diaphragm is oil-free, and the zoom works well. Through the viewfinder there are a few specks of dust visible.
A true classic from the East German camera industry, perfect for enthusiasts of mechanical analog photography.
