Brand Voigtländer & Sohn, Model Voigtlander BESSA E MESSER (RF) 1938, physical condition good, functional condition not tested.
Description from the seller
Voigtlander BESSA E MESSER (RF) 1938. Folding camera for 120 film, negative format 6x9 cm.
In 1897 Kodak introduced to the market two new roll-film cameras: the Cartridge Kodak and the Folding Pocket Kodak. While the former had a bulky appearance and, when closed, resembled box cameras, the Folding Pocket Kodak was very compact in size and had a rounded form. The success of this second type of camera was enormous, and numerous models followed, including some with high-quality lenses and shutters, built until 1915. Many companies copied this model and produced similar cameras. Among these was Voigtländer, precisely with the various models of the Bessa line. This basic model remained in production, with different combinations of lenses and shutters, from 1931 to 1949.
Dimensions: 160 mm x 96 mm x 44 mm closed, 160 mm x 90 mm x 134 mm open, W x H x D)
Weight: 690 grams.
A camera from almost 80 years ago.
The machine is in good condition, great for display; I cannot guarantee its functioning, not tested, great for display, which is why I am selling it at a reduced price.
