Description from the seller

Regule clock decorated with a figure, very old, with a wire pendulum, circa 1840/1860.
It sometimes stops working; just reset it, and the spring is OK.
It has its balance wheel and a winding key.
Ring with a bell that works

Signs of wear and scratches from use; please see the photos, they are part of the description.
28 x 33 x 13.5 cm
Weight: 2.8 kg
Carefully packaged and securely shipped.

Wire suspension.
It was invented by Huygens in 1657.
It was the most common until Brocot invented his own in 1840; it gradually became standard, and it is considered that from 1860 onwards, wire suspension was no longer mounted on the movements from Paris.
