Description from the seller

LA LICORNE with her crew of buccaneers arrives in sight of a small small island…

With Captain Haddock in the pink sweater instead of the blue sweater…

The Secret of the Unicorn - "The Making Of" - Page 22., 4 successive color prints (1949)

To frame!

We hardly know of any old print runs of "The Secret of the Unicorn" that are similar to those produced in the late 1940s for "The Crab with the Golden Claws," so that Casterman’s sales representatives responsible for international development could showcase the printing quality of the Tintin albums.

This lot is therefore exceptional, since it consists of different phases of color printing (1949) of a page from 'The Secret of the Unicorn', across 3 A4 pages, which present the following steps:

1. Yellow print

2. Yellow print + red and mauve colors

3. Previous print + black color of the text and frames.

4. Final print with different blue colors.

Starting at: 1 euro.
