Type of jewel: Vintage antique 1900s Art Nouveau gold ring with opals and rubies
Condition: In well-preserved condition, especially given the jewel`s age.
Style: Vintage 1900's Art Nouveau
Style characteristics: Art Nouveau - The floral ornaments and botanical designs are very typical for the Art Nouveau style. Also the use of curvilinear lines (the so-called the so-called whiplash motif) is typical for this period.
Era: ca. 1900
Material: 14K warm yellow gold (touchstone tested)
Precious stone(s): Ten natural rubies and five natural opals
- It is common practice to treat gemstones to enhance their clarity or colour. This item has not been tested for such treatments.
- All gemstone weights are approximate, as the stones are not removed from their settings to preserve the integrity of the piece.
