Three antique Louis XV style chairs in solid beech, with original cane seat and back, dating from the early 20th century (c. 1900–1930), France, in very good condition after recent restoration.
Description from the seller
Set of three antique Louis XV-style chairs, in solid beech, with original cane seating and back.
These chairs date from the early 20th century (circa 1900–1930) and feature workshop-made construction, as evidenced by an old handwritten pencil mark under each seat.
They have benefited from a recent restoration, respectful of their character and their original materials:
• Sandblasting with an air-powered abrasive.
• Antique wax finish
• Slight patina, bringing a warm, subtly honey-toned hue
The wood retains a beautiful natural appearance and highlights the curved lines typical of the Louis XV style.
The antique caning is clean, even, and well taut, with no breaks or sagging.
The structures are sound and stable, ready to be used.
Details:
• Style : Louis XV
• Era: early 20th century (circa 1900–1930)
• Material: solid beech
• Seat and back: original antique cane weaving
• Condition: very good, recent restoration
• Number of pieces : 3 chairs
A cohesive lot, decorative and authentic, ideal for a classic interior, chic country style, or eclectic.
