Description from the seller
Beautiful antique pewter cruet from 1854, a characterful 19th-century utilitarian object with a lovely patina and authentic appearance. This piece bears both official hallmarks and a personal inscription (“C.T. Mende 1854”), which makes it extra special and clearly points to an individual owner from that period.
The jug has an elegant cylindrical shape with a slender pouring spout and an original lid. The handle sits comfortably in the hand and the proportions are beautifully balanced. With a height of approximately 22 cm and a diameter of approximately 10 cm, this is a decorative but also substantial object.
Inside, the original tin stamps are still visible. The outside shows a warm, natural aging with signs of use that fit perfectly with the age and contribute to the authentic character — no modern shine, but real history.
A beautiful collectible for lovers of antique tin, folk art, or 19th‑century everyday objects. Also very suitable as a atmospheric decorative piece in a rural, industrial, or historic interior.
Quality marks present.

Nice condition with fair signs of use
A unique piece with soul — ready for a new owner who knows how to appreciate its history.
