- Inscriptions: DEUTSCHES REICH with the value of 3 MARK and the date on the obverse; REICHSVERFASSUNGSTAG · 11. AUGUST · 1919 surrounding the republican eagle on the reverse.
- Grade: MS65 (NGC).
Silver coin issued by the Republic of Weimar to commemorate the German Constitution of 1919, known for the variant with the circular inscription around the eagle. The obverse features clear, balanced typography, with the denomination prominent and good definition of the characters, while the reverse shows the republican eagle with outstretched wings, symbol of the new German state after the fall of the Empire, surrounded by the commemorative inscription that reinforces its political and historical significance. The specimen retains an attractive original lustre with a light, uniform patina, well-defined reliefs and reasonably clean fields, with small contact marks in keeping with the MS65 grade, making it a representative piece and highly valued within the commemorative issues of interwar Germany.
