Description from the seller
Console table with magazine rack
Beech and Brass Details
Italian Manufacturing
Early 1950s
Dating from the early 1950s of the 20th century, it is synonymous with meticulous research, innovation and evolution, and is characterized by a structure crafted from fine beech wood and brass details.
Equipped with two upper storage shelves, made of glass with a beveled edge and hand-polished, which are delineated by a brass profile.
The lower magazine rack compartment is made of brass.
All components, such as shelves, brass details, studs, and screws, are original.
A portion of the furnishings for guest rooms in a manor house has been preserved over time in good condition.
It shows no significant deficiencies, only the signs of wear.
Some time ago it underwent professional restoration of a conservative nature. Specifically, an anti-woodworm treatment was carried out to preserve its integrity over time, and buffing with a polishing pad.
Periodically a beeswax treatment has been carried out to nourish the wood.
It should be noted to a potential buyer that both rear glass panels have a small chip that is not visible and not photographed, as it is hidden by the recessed guide of the frame.
An inimitable and iconic testament to wise mastery and study over time, it could today be readily used to embellish any type of environment.
