Bread basket - Silverplated - Louis XVI style

Elegant antique silvered metal basket, square in shape with chamfered corners, equipped with a finely decorated, movable arched handle.

The border is richly adorned with a bas-relief motif of garlands, ribbons, and botanical motifs, inspired by Louis XVI / Neoclassical, highly decorative and refined.
The piece as a whole shows beautiful chasing work, with a beaded frieze at the top and high-relief appliques on the sides.

The back is stamped, with:
• an R punch to identify
• a "12" hallmark, corresponding to the thickness of silver plating.
