Two original colour production drawings from the Bleach series depicting Ikkaku Madarame, each 30 cm by 21 cm, produced by Studio Pierrot in excellent condition and showing different refinement stages from the animation workflow.
Description from the seller
This lot consists of two original hand-drawn production drawings featuring Ikkaku Madarame from the anime series Bleach.
Both sheets originate from the original animation production process and represent the same pose in different stages of refinement, offering a rare insight into the development of the final on-screen image.
One sheet shows a more advanced and expressive version, with clear line work and colored pencil accents used to define musculature, shadows, and volume. The second sheet appears as an earlier study, executed on thinner, yellowish animation paper, focusing on proportions, anatomy, and facial structure.
Together, these drawings form a coherent and visually compelling set that illustrates the artistic progression within the animation workflow. The dynamic pose and strong anatomical emphasis make this an especially striking example of Ikkaku’s raw and powerful presence.
Original studio punch holes, production notes, and handling marks are visible and consistent with authentic production material.
A highly attractive lot for collectors of Bleach and original Japanese animation art.
