Rare Antique Double Bed Set in Pure Raw Linen and Cantù/Tombolo Lace - Handmade - Italian Excellence from the 1970s/80s
Splendid and imposing full bedding set, an authentic masterpiece of Italian textile craftsmanship from the second half of the 20th century (the 1970s/80s). This lot is not merely linens, but a testament to an era when the quality of the material and the skill of the embroidery were top priorities.
The Protagonists of the Set:
The Material: Pure heavy linen of the highest quality in a refined natural ecru shade. The fiber is substantial, fresh and characterized by the typical slubs of antique thread, which give the fabric a vibrant and indestructible texture.
The Lace: A sumptuous Cantù bobbin lace insert runs along the coverlet and the sheet’s ruffle. The interwoven workmanship is extremely precise, with circular motifs that create a play of transparency and solidity unique in its kind.
