These devices are equipped with Sennheiser's new HDX noise suppression system. HDX reduces interference caused by transmission. It increases the signal-to-noise ratio for wireless transmission up to 110 dB.
HDX is a broadband compander system that compresses the BF level of the transmitter with a 2:1 (in dB) ratio and expands it again in a mirror-like fashion in the receiver. This system significantly reduces transmission problems.
HDX was developed for use in wireless transmission technology, for studio and stage applications, and has been patented by Sennheiser.
The "True Diversity" method instead provides for the use of two antennas and therefore two independent receiving circuits. The antennas are positioned in different locations. Thanks to an electronic comparison inside the receiver, the reception channel is always switched to the baseband channel for the circuit that has the stronger RF signal. The likelihood that two field-strength nulls occur simultaneously on both antennas is extremely low.
