AMA • Pope (1985) presents Aurora Original-Fälschung, a resin pop art sculpture, edition 5/30, 20 cm high, 9 cm wide and 9 cm deep, in argent colour, made in France in 2025 and signed by hand.
Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora Original Forgery" - 5/30
When the copy becomes more real than the original.
After the success of the AMA Aurora Borealis series — imitated, copied and finally censored in the name of trademark law — the artist Pope returns with a new luminous provocation.
This time, a tribute to Germany and its obsession with industrial rigor: here is 'Aurora Original-Fälschung'.
A pop-art lamp whose base plainly displays 'FÄLSCHUNG' (counterfeit in German), accompanied by the ironic warning 'NICHT KAUFEN'. It's hard to resist the urge to bid.
By day, a chrome teddy bear with metallic reflections, almost futuristic.
At night, a blaze of multicolored auroras that lights up your walls.
A striking contrast, a deliberate irony: transforming the fake copy into a genuine work of art.
Limited edition of 30 copies for 2025, signed, numbered, and delivered with an AMA certificate of authenticity.
Fast and careful shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper and reinforced cardboard) with signature required.
Features :
- 7 bright colors
- 3 diffusion modes (fixed, crossfades, simple transitions)
- Power supply via USB cable with switch (provided)
- Height: 20 cm
- Width: 9 cm
Depth: 9 cm
A collectible object that turns censorship into art, and transforms the « Aurora Original-Fälschung » into a genuine original.
Who is AMA?
Born from the talents of French artist friends, the AMA collective takes you into its universe blending vibrant colors and diverse materials.
Sculptures, paintings, and installations, the collective passionately employs a multitude of techniques to bring its works to life.
The AMA collective mainly draws inspiration from the world around it, but also from renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name just a few.
Whether for a gift, a keepsake, or your personal contemporary art collection, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, AMA pursues its passion for urban art through street art and pop art creations (limited edition or not), covering a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (bitcoin, ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, the harms of drugs, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medications, recycling and upcycling, as well as products from the food industry and fashion (sports, sneakers...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, AMA enjoys playfully reappropriating labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marvel, and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokémon, Vans, and many others.
Dear bidders, our team is making every effort to ensure that all necessary information for evaluating the lot being sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description, and photos... After the sale, no unjustified claims will be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
