Description

This is a set of Japanese-made tea bowls / yunomi cups with matching saucers, finished in a variety of colored glazes.
The set includes pieces in white, yellow, red, green, and black tones, all housed in a wooden storage box (tomobako).

Each cup and saucer shows natural glaze flow, pooling, and kiln effects created during firing, giving every piece its own unique character.
The gently rounded forms and slight intentional irregularities reflect the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, which values imperfection, individuality, and natural beauty.

The deep green glaze, soft white tones, warm yellow, and iron-rich dark glaze each offer different visual expressions.
As the cups and saucers are complete matching sets, they are highly practical for daily use, serving guests, or use by multiple people.

The wooden box bears calligraphy, indicating that the pieces were originally grouped as tea ceramics.
However, the wooden box shows significant age-related wear, including corner wear, surface scratches, warping of the boards, gaps, and areas of peeling.
While it still functions as a storage box, its condition is not considered good. Please refer carefully to the photos for details.

The wooden box is in poor condition and should be regarded as a practical storage container rather than a display-quality box.
