Fountain (8) - Géraud Lafitte - 1930-1940 - Signed

Magnificent decorative liqueur fountain, accompanied by six small faience cups, presented on a handmade wrought-iron stand.

The central body consists of a small, solid-wood barrel with a turned wooden spigot, evoking liquor- or wine-dispensers used for serving digestifs. The whole is supported by a black wrought-iron frame, richly worked with elegant volutes, and a twisted handle on top for handling.

The six white porcelain cups with a blue border are suspended around the stand, creating a highly decorative and inviting display. This type of object was often used to serve liqueurs, spirits, or aperitifs at receptions, but can also serve as a rustic or vintage decorative piece.
