A 1960s German wall-mounted shelving system with a black metal frame and warm wood veneer, featuring a lockable cabinet with a working key, overall dimensions 101 cm high by 114 cm wide by 27 cm deep, in moderate condition with notable wear and possible missing small parts.
Description from the seller
This shelving system from the 1960s combines functional clarity with the characteristic delicate lightness of the mid-century era. The combination of a black metal frame and warm-toned wood veneer creates a tense yet harmonious contrast.
The construction consists of slim, black-painted metal ladders with suspended wooden treads. As part of the redesign, the treads were given new, neatly finished edges. The hooks were also renewed and ensure a secure and stable wall mounting.
An integrated chest of drawers with a lockable door. The lock, including the key, is present and works perfectly. The interior is clean and fully functional.
Several small repairs have been expertly carried out on the veneer. In some areas of the interior and/or lid area, new veneer has been added. The work has been executed in a material-appropriate manner and blends harmoniously into the overall appearance. Age-appropriate signs of wear are present and reinforce the authentic vintage character.
The shelf is overall in a stable condition. A distinctive, updated 1960s system-furniture piece with a clear architectural line and practical functionality.
