Cartier Paris – early gas lighter – circa the 1950s – working
An original Cartier Paris gas lighter from the early gas era, manufactured in France in the early to mid-1950s.
Description
Elegant, rectangular Cartier lighter with a finely guilloché surface. The piece bears the inscription “PARIS,” a stamped serial number (69461D), and a French workshop punch mark, as was common on Cartier supplier parts of that era.
The lighter is fully functional.

• early, robust gas mechanics
• classic ignition with a friction wheel
• operational (ignites reliably)

• silver-plated metal
(probably brass/nickel silver)
