Antique WH Brandsma Schaap & Co Wooden 13x18 Camera in very good shape for its age. Bellows are in good shape. Comes with a matching 13x18 film holder.
In the year 1897 the company Schaap & Co was founded in Amsterdam by F. Schaap and W. Brandsma. At an auction they bought the technical inventory of Loman & Co (later Holst). Between 1897 and 1907 they produced Hollandse Reflex cameras and Brandsma developed the foldable Reflex camera. Also a stereo camera was manufactured according to design of Albada. Schaap left the company in 1907 and Schaap & Co remained in business until 1941.
