Description from the seller
Mix of natural raw minerals
Ruby and Tanzanite
Ruby is the name given to the red variety of the mineral corundum. Because of small amounts of chromium, the red hue of these crystals ranges from deep violet to intense blood red. The gem is a very hard crystal, which makes it ideal for use as a precious stone. The name derives from the Latin "rubeus", meaning "red".
The "ruby lapis lazuli" is one of the rarest and therefore most precious gems. Diamond, emerald, ruby and sapphire are known as the "Big Four" of the gemstone world. The ruby is undoubtedly the fiery and capricious diva of the quartet.
In ancient times, the ruby was considered the mother of all gemstones. Hildegard of Bingen used its healing powers to treat pain and fever. It was believed that the color changes of the stone were an omen of plague.
Once the ruby was the stone of rulers and nobles. It was said to give vitality to those who wore it and allow them to enjoy life to the fullest.
The total weight is 31 g
