Model/type nr 2,8/28mm for OM mount; functional condition: tested and working.
Description from the seller
Here's another classic from the vintage 'third-party' era: the Vivitar 28mm f/2.8 MC Wide Angle. This lens is a perfect example of how Vivitar, which did not manufacture lenses in-house but outsourced them to various Japanese producers, offered optics of excellent quality at competitive prices. The unit for sale has a serial number starting with 28 (visible as 28016516), which allows us to identify the producer with certainty as Komine. Lenses produced by Komine for Vivitar are among the most sought after by collectors and users for their superior sharpness and sturdy build.
It's a compact wide-angle with a 7-element-in-7-group optical design, equipped with multi-coated anti-reflective treatment (MC) that ensures good contrast and faithful color rendition. The minimum focusing distance is only 23 cm (close focus), a distinctive and highly appreciated feature of this Komine version, which allows getting very close to the subject to create dynamic perspectives with pleasant blurred backgrounds (bokeh).
The lens is presented in excellent cosmetic condition, with clean glass and the barrel free of obvious signs. The rear mount, visible in the second photo, is a bayonet mount.
