Bronze Age ceramic jug from the Amlash culture, 12th–10th century BCE, a large terracotta vessel with a lustrous brown‑black engobe, incised straight and wavy stripe decoration, straight narrow neck and small vertical rounded handle, measuring 13.7 cm high by 13.5 cm wide with excellent conservation and discreet restoration, provenance France (Galerie C.H.Y), formerly from the Lafrance collection.

Persian ceramic jug.
Large terracotta jug with a glossy brown-black engobe, a stout body adorned with an incised decoration of straight and wavy ridges, a wide mouth with a straight neck, a small vertical handle of round cross-section.
Near East, Amlash culture, 12th/10th century BCE.
Dimensions: height 13.7 cm x width 13.5 cm
Excellent state of preservation, discreet restoration.
Provenance : France, gallery C.H.Y
Previously: the collection of Mrs. and Mr. Pierre Lafrance, French ambassador.
