Pair of prestigious wall sconces – 1900-1950
Extraordinary pair of original wall sconces from the late 19th century, made in finely worked metal and plated in silver, authentic expression of Rococo Revival/Victorian taste, a symbol of elegance and refinement of the era.
These sconces immediately strike with their decorative richness and harmonious proportions: the backplate is magnificently carved with scrolls, leaves and floral motifs, while the gracefully curved arms recall the candle models typical of upper-class interiors of the late 19th century. Objects designed not only as light sources but as true decorative pieces of representation.
The set is enhanced by a cascade of high-quality original faceted crystals, with large multi-faceted drops and prismatic pendants, capable of refracting light and creating suggestive light reflections on the walls, with a strong scenic effect.
All the crystals are original, complete and perfectly intact, with no missing or replaced stones.
