Description from the seller

African musician cast in brass.
Probably Burkina Faso around 1970–1980
It shows a sculpture about 30.5 cm tall.
In good condition with minimal signs of use.

This bronze statuette is an example of African art, likely crafted using the lost-wax method (cire perdue). It depicts a long, elongated, stylized figure, which is characteristic of certain West African artistic traditions.

Characteristics and Origin
Style and Material: The figurine is made of bronze or copper and displays the typical granular texture and gold-like shine of hand-cast metalwork from the region.

Possible origin: Such sculptures are often associated with West African peoples, such as the Fon from Benin or the Yoruba from Nigeria. Also in Burkina Faso (for example by the Mossi or Fulani) similar bronze figures are made that depict everyday scenes or musicians.

Photos are part of the description.
These are made under artificial lighting; the color may vary.

It will be well packaged, and sent by registered mail.
