Description from the seller
Title: The Abyss of Minds
Technique: Mixed media on board
Dimensions: 57 x 38 cm
Frame: Dark-toned carved wood
The abyss of minds is a work of intense symbolic charge that explores psychological depth and human interconnectedness from a troubling and poetic perspective. In a horizontal format measuring 57 x 38 cm, the composition presents four faces that emerge from a central organic mass, wrapped in an atmosphere dominated by deep greens, dense blacks, and bluish nuances.
The figures, arranged in an almost circular structure, seem suspended in an ambiguous space between the conscious and the unconscious. Their expressions, serene yet introspective, convey a sense of inner contemplation, as if each mind peered into the emotional void that connects them. The central motif, evoking roots, branches, or neural networks, reinforces the idea of shared thought, collective memory, and invisible bonds.
Mixed media lends material richness and visual depth, blending dense textures with smooth transitions that generate an enveloping effect. The selective lighting on the faces creates a strong contrast with the dark background, intensifying the drama and drawing the viewer's gaze toward the conceptual core of the work.
A work that invites us to look inward, to confront the complexity of the human mind, and to explore the boundaries between identity, connection, and the abyss.
It ships fully protected and without a frame.
