Description from the seller
Collector's item.
100% hand-painted on cotton canvas.
Work sent without a frame, in a shipping tube via DHL Express.
Accompanied by COA, a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Observation concentrates on the act of seeing as an active and conscious experience. The closed framing eliminates any narrative context, forcing the observer's gaze to confront the very act of observing. There is no comfortable distance: proximity turns vision into presence.
The intense color around the eye functions as an energy field and focal point, underscoring the tension between attention and introspection. The gaze depicted does not reveal explicit emotion, but suggests vigilance, awareness, and permanence — a silent state of alertness.
In this work, seeing is not passive. Observe proposes a subtle inversion: while the spectator observes the image, they are simultaneously observed by it, creating an intimate and inevitable dialogue about perception, identity, and consciousness.
