Antique Wooden Vertical Spinning Wheel (Castle Wheel) – Circa 1900
Description:
For auction: a beautifully preserved antique wooden spinning wheel, executed in the rarer vertical model, also known as a "Castle Spinning Wheel".
This type is known for its compact, tower-like design with the wheel located directly beneath the spindle.
This specimen is made of solid hardwood and shows craftsmanship in the detailed turning of the uprights and the wheel.
The item exudes the atmosphere of historical craftsmanship and folk art from the late 19th or early 20th century.

Type: Vertical spinning wheel (Castle Wheel).
Material: Dark-stained wood with iron fittings.
Period: Estimated circa 1880 – 1910.
