Latvia 2 Lati silver coin, minted in 1925, graded MS62 by NGC (certification 6637396-008), from World Coins (non-Euro pre-2000).
Description from the seller
Obverse: the coat of arms of Latvia is engraved in the middle of the reverse - the field of the shield of the state coat of arms is divided into three parts. The upper part depicts a rising golden sun with rays. A lion is depicted on the lower right side; on the lower left is a griffin with a sword. Above the shield - 3 five-pointed stars, symbolizing Kurzeme, Vidzeme and Latgale (this is how the territory of Latvia was divided in tsarist times). The shield is held by a lion on the left and a griffin on the right. Beneath the shield is a stylized weaving of oak leaves. At the bottom, the mint year and denomination.
Reverse: the reverse depicts the denomination of the coin and the year of minting surrounded by a wreath.
