Description from the seller
New York Ultimate 2026 — BLACH (Maxime Blachère) — Limited Edition XL, 90 × 60 cm.
This work offers an explosive vision of the New York skyline, where the iconic architecture of the Big Apple blends with saturated colors and BLACH's characteristic humor. A mythical bridge, monumental skyscrapers and urban perspectives provide the canvas for a pop, richly narrative universe.
At the top of a building, a famous fast-food restaurant dominates the city, while in the sky planes, UFOs, and frantic birds cross paths. A base jumper leaps off a tower, adding a sense of movement and vertigo.
The artist hides numerous nods: Scrooge McDuck in the midst of urban engraving, Bart Simpson hidden beneath the bridges, Goku camouflaged with his cap tilted, a reimagined Mickey, and a giant Invader atop the tallest tower, accompanied by a miniature version of Goldorak. Each detail turns the work into a game of observation, revealing multiple readings between popular culture, street art, and urban satire.
Signature, limited edition, and certificate of authenticity included.
A striking piece for collectors of contemporary pop art and fans of urban scenes rich in visual storytelling.
Limited edition of 30 copies.
