Soviet desk fan, model ВЕ-1, made of metal in brown and silver, originating from Russia (ZSRR), vintage industrial style, dating to the 1950s–1960s with a 1970s period preference, in good working order with an adjustable head and oscillation, complete with cord and plug.
Description from the seller
Table fan from the USSR/CCCP, working, 1973
For sale: a Soviet-made desk fan. It dates from 1973 – the unit has been working for almost half a century and, thanks to its solid construction, will probably survive another half a century. ;)
A solid, metal construction; the whole weighs about 4 kg. The propeller blades are flexible, made of some kind of rubber.
The fan is fully original (including the cable and plug), complete, nothing is missing. The fan
It’s functional – the propeller spins at normal speed, the oscillation also works (the head moves left and right). The tilt of the head can be adjusted up and down. The oscillation mechanism would require a light lubrication; when turned on, you can hear a slight creak.
Visually, as shown in the photos: one of the 'ears' is broken off (see photo) and in one spot on the housing the paint is slightly chipped (see photo). Apart from that, the device is in good condition.
Height: approx. 40 cm
Propeller diameter: approx. 28 cm
Base dimensions: approx. 22 x 16 cm
